Old school dinner feel with American-mexican food selection. Big portions for the price. Well worth stopping by if you love to eat. Great friendly service. Very clean restaurant!
Family owned, cozy and delicious food! Had the Annie's Omelette and The Complete Family Breakfast, so good and hug portions can definitely share. The pancakes were yummy and fluffy.
This family-owned café was a pleasant surprise to have lunch today. There are several small dining areas inside and plenty of seating available outside the restaurant. This is by no means fancy dining, but the home-style family atmosphere more than makes up it. This is a charming little café with a wonderful staff that were very attentive and the food was very good. The side salad was freshly made and more than ample in size and we really liked the bacon cheeseburger. The one thing we would recommend, park on the side of the restaurant rather than in front of it if possible. The traffic racing down the street can be a problem at certain times of the day if you are trying to back up. Otherwise, it will be a great location to have breakfast or lunch while being well taken care of by friendly staff members who make you feel like part of the family.
Such a wonderful place! Maybe the food doesn’t look “professional” but it tastes great like a homemade and I really like a nice and cozy atmosphere of this cafe. Waitresses are friendly, the place is clean and tidy. I would recommend going here
Lumberjack Cafe is an absolute gem! Their breakfast is insanely delicious and always hits the spot — especially their breakfast menu. You can tell everything is made fresh and with care. It’s no surprise this place is always busy — it’s clearly a local favorite for a reason. The location is beautiful too, making it an even better place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a great meal. Highly recommend stopping here if you love a solid breakfast and amazing burritos!
LA native and their Chorizo burrito is absolutely delicious. HIGHLY recommend getting this. I ordered with light in the eggs
Hubby and I spent a weekend in Big Bear and didn't know anything about this place. We drove up Big Bear Blvd til we found something that sounded good and this is where we ended up. The parking is NOT great, especially if they're busy. Lucky for us, we got there just before the breakfast rush came it. I ordered the scramble with sausage and a side of waffle. My hubby ordered the chicken fried steak, log potatoes and egg over hard. Let's just say we were both pleasantly surprised. The food was really good and the portions were good size too! From the outside, it didn't look like much. Even when we walked in, there was nothing fancy about it. Kinda felt like I just stepped into an old Aunty's house where nothing matched, everything looked super old and yet, it was still cozy & inviting. But wait, I forgot to mention our waitress...I forgot her name but she knew her stuff. She was very efficient, memorized our order and was quick to answer any questions. This was a really nice spot and we both killed our breakfast plates in no time!! Don't let the outdated furniture fool u. And yes, I'd come back and order the same thing again (I love the waffle)!! Just make sure to get there before it gets busy, otherwise you won't find parking.
I can not emphasize how great this restaurant is. My mom and I came in last minute due to a social media spot being closed on Thanksgiving. When you walk in, theirs a cozy home vibe. The waitresses that attended us were very friendly and hospitable. My mom and I loved this restaurant! If you’re looking for authentic, delicious food in Big Bear, and don’t want to just go to take pictures for social media, This is the spot! I promise you won’t regret it.
